Imperfections Are True Beauty

I’ve been sharing my story about having a breast implant explant soon and I’ve been flooded with messages.
Messages from other concerned women deciding if an explant is for them. Messages from women who have explanted and are thrilled with the results. And messages from women concerned I won’t be happy.

Trust me, this is a real fear. These puppies have been a part of me for over 15 years. That is a LONG time. But, I’ve decided to embrace my postpartum belly (my kids may be 6 and 12 but who cares ) my thighs that touch and my chest that will look nothing like it does now.

Body image is a struggle for so many women. Myself included.
I hope that in all this mess, if anything, I teach my 12 year old daughter to love and cherish her God given body for every curve, angle, stretch mark, cellulite, and flat chest- whatever it may be from day one.
Ladies, love yourself. Imperfections are the true beauty. Don’t ever let anyone else tell you differently.
